Hey, so I am a senior in high school and I am currently struggling with Spanish 3 CPE. First off, I am taking Spanish 3 CPE since I took Japanese 1 my freshman year did not go well. I switched into Spanish 1 sophomore year. In my senior year, my first semester grade in Spanish 3 was a C. It did bring my GPA down to a 3.67 because I had 2 A+, 2Cs in AP computer science A and Spanish 3 and rest were all As. The thing is that currently I have a high probability of failing Spanish 3 CPE and although it is not required for me to take it in my ser I or year I took it. However I regret this choice and now my second Semester Spanish grade could be an F. Do you guys think I should drop the class or continue with an F? And if I take any of these choices will colleges, when seeing my mid year grades, change their decisions?

2022.01.27 21:11 MaritimeOliver Do you think you could be an elected official?

Do you think you could be a mayor, governor, senator, congressman/woman, President, or other elected official, in an objective manner?
Obviously you would have an agenda that you would have campaigned on, but what if it came down to an issue you didn't personally agree withyet had majority support of your constituents?
Do you think you would consider the people who don't support you in your decision making process? Or would the only consideration be "to hell with'em, I don't need their votes!"?
How do you think you would handle conditions changing (such as during a midterm that changed the balance of power between the two major parties), would you attempt to work across the aisle? Or would you rather attempt to spend (X) more years sabotaging any of the other parties progress and campaign on smearing them to try to change it back to a majority that toes your own party line?
How much time (in a vs. or ratio?) do you think would be split between trying to pass and implement solutions, and campaigning?
Lastly: who would be a dead lock voter for you? What demographics do you think you would appeal to?

2022.01.27 21:11 MeatEater_Eater Disruptive Tech Venture Builders: Victory Square Technologies (CSE: VST | OTC: VSQTF)

Happy Thursday everyone! I just wanted to shed some light and post a little DD style write up on Victory Square!

Victory Square (VST) builds, acquires and invests in promising startups, then provides the senior leadership and resources needed to fast-track growth. The result: rapid scale-up and monetization, with a solid track record of public and private exits. In short, they are looking for the businesses that define and push the envelope on the proverbial "4th Industrial Revolution", using their venture build model as a catalyst.

Some interesting notes:

In 2022 they are focused on Spin-offs, Web3, Digital Health, Climate Tech, and a healthy share price. VST is unique as it gives the average investor, who may not have the deepest pockets,, the most technical understanding, nor the risk appetite to participate in disruptive tech, to chance to have their hand in a basket of possible homeruns. It's almost like being the an agent to a bunch of promising minor league players….you just need one of them to go to the Majors and you've won. As well, they are amazing at communicating with S/H…newsletters, monthly Q&A with the CEO over Zoom, etc.

At the end of the day, like I keep saying, it is always companies who are brave enough to be first in an emerging industry that come out winners...VST is unique because they are attempting to be first in SO MANY emerging industries! One to keep top of mind for sure as a long term play!!

2022.01.27 21:11 Angry_Citizen_CoH Struggling with new job

I was hired about four months ago for my first job. Straight out of grad school. Had an internship experience that wasn't productive, so for all intents and purposes this is my first time in an actual corporate workplace as an engineer.
The first few weeks were the standard fire hose of trainings, HR stuff, meeting people, etc. I started getting tasks. The tasks tend to be ones that I don't understand. A lot of them involve Linux, which I'd never even touched before. As a result, usually an older engineer would have to walk me through it step by step. I hated this- it felt like I was taking up people's precious time, and being dead weight. And every task would be something quite different from the last, so I could never learn a task and then get good at doing it, because I'd be pulled in a different direction for the next couple weeks.
Now, four months in, this is still happening. Every task is something I either have no idea how to do, or is monkey work that anyone could do. The one task I've had that related in any way to my background, I knocked out of the park. But I'm often bogged down in trying to find a file I need to change, or how to use git, or how to connect to some server, and then I have to have my hand held through the task.
Often I have dead time where I don't have anything I can be working on because I'm blocked and waiting for someone to help. This usually lasts days. I'm told I should be finding something else to do, but when I look at the available tasks, they're all the same way. Tasks that aren't explained to any depth, or would require someone to again hold my hand while I figure it out. I can't just jump into a task when doing so would require the same silly process of having someone else basically do it for me while I watch.
This feels like it's beyond imposter syndrome. I don't *want* to be a bad engineer, but it feels like I am. I feel lost, abandoned even. What can I do to stop sucking?

2022.01.27 21:11 SisterFirefly Would you prefer a multi-act set?

So looking at some of the comments regarding the setlist for this tour and there's a repeating opinion that the setlist is all over the place and has no flow. Songs like Pinnacle being paired with Mary on a Cross etc. So I had an idea from My Chemical Romance of all bands. See back in the Black Parade days, they would do one half of the set in the Black Parade get up and back drop playing songs just from that era, then halfway through the set they'd change and just be My Chemical Romance, with a completely different set of costumes and backdrop and play all of their hits instead. And it got me to thinking if Ghost should maybe do something similar? You could have a first half with Papa in his more casual gear and they'd play the more pop oriented tracks like Danse Macabre, Mary on a Cross, Rats, Hunter's Moon etc, but then halfway through the set they'd bring out the full Mitre and Gown and focus primarily on the heavier stuff with the likes of Con Clavi, Year Zero, Mummy Dust etc. It'd allow for the set to flow better and would give the people that just want everything from before Meliora something to look forward to. Iron Maiden did a similar structure with the recent Legacy of the Beast tour being split into three acts with each act having songs and backdrops comprising a certain theme (War, Religion and Hell respectively.)

2022.01.27 21:11 neP-neP919 PS2 Fat Has Sony Splash screen + piano crash sound, then goes to a black screen (via composite and component video)

Hey guys! I have been racking my brain for hours on this:
I picked up a ps2 fat for free, and it won't boot into the browser! When turned on, you get the SCEA Splash screen with the piano crash sound, then it fades out like it's gonna load the browser and it's just a black screen! If you boot the system with a game, it boots into the game and works fine, but no browser! Tried booting with a freemcboot mem card and I get the Free Mcboot splash screen, then black screen again.
I have tried resetting component/rgb by. Hitting down, x down down down, x right x, etc and that doesn't work (first thing I tried)
Thank you in advance!
